Fall in Ontario is a great time of year, except we have had way to much rain, of course now you can still go for a ride & have the new hood as a rain option !
Just promise me you will use in damp & cool weather only - at least that's my rule, the top is only up with rain or weather that is cool enough that makes driving uncomfortable :smile: I can understand the top up in the sun if your on a long, long drive but seeing people goin for a sunday drive on a sunny day with the top up has always been a conflict for me :smile:

JP, a couple of questions.
What is the Michaels tool and what does it install. Where do I get one? I will need to install a top and a tonneau on a bugeye. Is this the only "special" tool I will need? Neither will have any snaps installed.
Is the Lift the dot fastener for the tonneau that is located to the right of the mirror, next to the mirror, or does it replace one of the mirror bolts?

The tool is Moss Part #386-980. It is $12 but the same thing is about $6 at Michaels craft store. It is only to install snaps, so it doesn't sound like you need it. The Lift the dot fastener on mine has its own hole BUT I don't have a Bugeye so it may be different. I presume you are using Tenex fasteners for the rest. I used a drill to make the holes and a screwdriver to clear them. The only special tool you might want to get is the Moss #387-055 this to tighten Tenex snaps. I made one out of a golf divot tool but then borrowed one and the actual tool gives me more turning power (surprise surprise)

A bugeye top can be installed with a razor blade if you go slow and carefully.
 
Update. Last night I put the top down for the very first time. And the decal on the front rail. Bill - I think it was you posted the "method" for folding the top. Thanks! got to put the parade boot on for the very first time. Looks great! Turns out I had the snap on the door post in the wrong spot - fixed that and I can't quite stretch the bottom of the boot enough to snap on underneath, but, its enough for now. I may try to stretch them in warm weather or fab up short extensions. In any case it looks great! really adds a finishing test, and, realized I can use the tonneau with the top attached. Hurray!
