At 8:30 central time, 101 Cars you must drive, on SPeed Channel will have the MGA and the Sunbeam Tiger.

I've seen it. So incredibly bad. Lots and lots of incorrect facts and a serious exaggeration of the unreliability of the MGA. I honestly wonder if they did any research or if they just made it up on the fly? Then later in the show he mentions how the MGA sold well because it was so reliable.

How about the fact the guy can't drive worth spit anyway?????????And as far as appreciating the car by what he said about them, it all sounded like driville & hype. Impress your friends by knowing what a Sunbeam Tiger was......It is written on the car & not hard to pronounce .......duh

To be fair, the host is probably not insured enough to do any serious driving-he's supposed to crawl along for the camera car and also has to read his cue cards while on the go.

The show is based on a book by the same name-in fact, so far, the cars are all in the original book.

Right now they're re-runnning the Trans-Am race from this year's Monterey Historics. I assume to atone for two straight hours of the 101 cars You Must Drive! (this also reminds me I need to download Laguna Seca for GT Legends)

I don't think he's reading cue cards. It sounds too ad lib. Either that or they have a horrible script writer. That, and he doesn't seem very natural on camera so I don't think he could read cue cards naturally enough. COuld be wrong of course, and I wasn't really paying attention to his eyes when I watched it.

Odds of that are pretty good.

You mean it's not quite like Alain de Cadenet doing Victory By Design.

Ahhh you guys beat me to it! Victory By Design!
Now there were some awsome shows! One of the few series I really wanted to get the DVD collection of.

I'm going to repeat this posting for those of you who missed it last time. I was at the Monterey Historic races this year and spoke with Alain de Cadenet and he said to send and email to SPEED TV and demand that they continue the "victory by design" series. He has lots of material that was never produced. He never even got to finish the Formula 1 series.
