Tomorrow is Valentine's Day

Sounds like the bug is going around

We have a six month anniversary on the 14th, alot has happened, bot lost our jobs etc. But we have survived. Mellencamp tickets on Friday (bought before our financial downturn) with few cheap fishbowls of beer first .

I am glad that we got the tickets before the turn of events, it is alot better than naming a roach, star or the stovers she prob would be getting. I am a big fan of making memories together.

A Happy St. Valentines Day to all,
Pat

basil, the first year i was married, i hand carved a single red rose from a solid block of walnut, thorns, pedals, stem, etc, it took me three attemps to get it just right and nearly cost me two fingers, when i was done i placed it on her night stand with its light directed on it, when it got her attention she tried to hide her giggles, it seems V/D is not an occasion that is celibrated by the fillopins. :wall:

Hey!! 7777's

You sound like you ain't been there at least you did not stay long enough, so here is what happens on "Valentines Day"in the Philippines:

In depends where in the Philippines. In mega cities such Manila, Cebu or Davao, people go out in malls and eat in restaurants. The "not so haves" go out to parks and do picnics there. In the provinces and not so large cities, they go to churches then spend the night trolling in small parks. Giving flowers or any sweet food to partners are widely practiced. Those who can afford give expensive gifts like ring or necklaces with heart pendants.

Now course I did not do any of these things I just watched--

Sounds like the pastor better keep his day job.

Flowers o.k, but if I gotta feed 'em too I'm out.

keoke, ive been there several times but not on V/D and did not meet my wife there, my wife has six sisters an none of em celibrate V/D, so what ya tellin me is dat next V/D i gotta take my wife back to her home town in manila to buy her and maybe all her sisters dinner?.

Naa Anthony, any sweet food will do the trick, so just get a big Russell Stovers Heart Shaped Box of chocolate candy.--Fwiw--Keoke--

Ant'ny, you're a pip.

...that's a GOOD thing!!!

kellysguy, i dont really know, perhaps some of them do but not so my wife or her sisters, however once while on an african safari i witnessed her six sisters knock senseless, dismember and devour an entire cape buffalo using nothing more then a small rock and some chopsticks, working as a well coordinated team they were able to achieve this in under 6 minutes...for years now the ever remaining vission of this event has been a great horror to me, all too often i am awoken by the pitifull, grunting, thrashing, and deffining bellows of this once great beast as it begins ever so slowly to lose its strength while being consumened and yet still very much alive, amazing that all six gals were wearing white outfits and nay had a single drop of blood on it, ohh the horror!!, i must admit though when at home the sisters do very well with seafood and chicken dishes.
