So at 8:00 am I'm heading off to the muffler shop to get the exhaust system finished up, then I'm off for a safety inspection and registration! It's a big day after 3 years of hard work.

Still plenty to do on the Tunebug, but at least I'll be road legal again. It's been 3 years almost to the day since I pulled the radiator out and took him off the street. I can't wait to get past the break in period on the new motor and really be able to *drive*.

Great news, Drew. Should go thru the process with flying colours!

Here's wishing you & Tunebug a sucessfull day !
and then drive that thing !

Then what are you going to do Drew.

I can't wait to get this thing back together, drive it, and see if I have really solved the rear seal problem. However, the real excitement is a good tranny.

Update, 9:40 am: I'm currently in the waiting room at the muffler shop while they fix the exhaust. Nice folks, so the Tunebug is in good hands.

Update 10:02 am: muffler is on! Just waiting to pay, and I'll be on the way to my inspection.

Update 10:56 am: we are legal! Pictures to follow.

A small (given the time) nip of The Macallan was properly lifted in honor of the occasion.

Way to go Drew.

 Congratulations!!!!

Now you can start another project.
May I suggest a Triumph or MG in say,a mid '60's
vintage?

I'm a one-car-at-a-time guy. No new project for me for quite some time -- I want to enjoy this one for a while.
