Took Ms Triss to church - after, drove a friend's 10 year old daughter home and picked up his wife and went for lunch. After lunch SWMBO & I were getting in the car and this young woman and her 3 year old son came running up - child had seen the car and had to see it close. I picked up the child and set him behind the wheel and he went crazy! They were eastern European (likely Polish as that is the largest group in our neighbourhood) so the kid is talking a mile a minute explaining everything to his mother, we of course understand nothing till in the midst of a sentence we hear the word "Ferrari" and off he goes again. Kid was so happy and mom was so grateful - I love this hobby and these little cars. Anyway, got home had a snooze and got her up on jackstands. Time to get ready for the 50th. First step install the header. It's in place but not tightened, likely finish tomorrow and then new tailpipe Tuesday.

This is a Patriot header and so far I'm impressed with the quality of this header, fits well and while the thickness is not exactly the same as the intake manifold, I shimmed it up with washers. (Note to self: if you want to shim with a washer on these, but don't weld, use double sided carpet tape to hold the washer in place till everything is tightened) The previous gasket was burned through between the two centre exhaust ports - don't suppose that would really matter would it?

Found a pair of thin speakers on Kijiji and have contacted the seller - no reply yet but, think I can fit them under the seats, will keep you posted.
