Up early and off to have breakfast with my car club guys. A 25 mile trip by Bugeye from the house, cool morning.

Off then to the car show, just that a local get together for a few hours of talk and such.

Asouply, Tony from this list stoped by and spent a few hours and we had lunch at the Olive Garden. Good visit and the Model A club guys enjoyed showing him their cars.

Miss Agatha sputtered about a 1/2 mile at speed on the way home but a pull of the choke cleared what ever was the problem and other wise the first longish trip under her own power was unaventful. Lovely ride, even had folks stoping me and asking what it was.

Home about 3 after a lovely day in NW Florida.

Sounds like a great day! Way to go Jack!T:smile:

It certainly was a picture-perfect day for a ride, wasn't it Jack? I'm glad you got Miss A out to enjoy it!! It must be fall down here in Florida...the colors of the license plates are changing!!!! :jester:

We are having a spectacular weekend here in Dallas. It was sunny and in the 50's when my wife and I went for a cruise yesterday in our 59BE. Lots of people out walking and we got lots of waves and smiles. The little kids really liked the car and got all exited when they saw it coming.

We were gone about an hour and I'm glad to report that the work I did in insulating the cockpit floor, footwells, and transmission hump worked out really well. Before you could smell tennis shoes melting, now the footwells are barely warm to the touch. The car is a lot quieter and feels more solid and less tinny.

That was so much fun, we'll probably head out again this afternoon!

Found the missing problem I had on the way home yesterday. One of the dash pot dampners came loose and thus was not keeping the piston in its proper location, heck it was just jumping around.
