Agatha and I found an excuse to take a ride today. It's been almost 2 months since we have been together. It should be noted that it was in the 60's today - most unusual for this time of year. Top down we cruised to WallyWorld via Rt. 66. We did a quick stop at Tractor Supply but only so I could adjust the volume on my IPod. Parking was easy as much to my surprise WallyWorld at about 2:00 in the afternoon on a Tuesday is stress free. Buttoned her up and headed into the store. Made my purchases and left to return to Agatha. We again took Rt. 66, passed our usual turnoff and scooted via NM 217 for some curve hugging with various speeds. This section is very windy and up and down hill. A great drive on a quiet afternoon. We did finally return home. Into the garage we went and I am sure that Agatha felt the same way I did - just purring with delight. These are the times when I realize how very blessed I am. :driving::driving::driving:

Agreed. When I first read your post, I was afraid it was going to end with someone hitting Agatha!
 
Hats off to you for driving her like she was meant to be. Wish our area had not become so popular that driving anything but a tank requires quick reflexes to keep from being run over in a LBC by SUV!

Glad you enjoyed your drive. I can't wait for clean roads, hopefully in March. It really brings a grin every time driving these cars.

I drive my TR like I ride my bike and assume everyone is trying to hit me. They've all missed so far.
 
I'm jealous you were able to get Agatha out. My caddy is down right now getting new the constant velocity joints rebuilt, so I've missed the last couple days of really nice weather we have had. I'm looking forward to the spring.

I'm all for that but wallyworld is a lowest common denominator danger zone. Yeah, I drive my "patina'd rubber bumper Midget there but it's a RB Midget...

Judy, here's what you do; adopt me. You drive us there, I'll circle the joint in the car till you're ready to leave. :jester:
 
Actually WallyWorld has a great parking lot and because it's still in a rural setting there are always spaces in hinterland and no speed bumps. I've never worried about it there. Now Albuquerque, wouldn't do it. I usually take Agatha wherever I would take my Lexus. On one occasion I went to our local casino and drove up to valet parking just for the giggle of it. After much ado it was decided that no one knew how to drive it so they determined that I could park in the VIP spots in front of the casino. I really wasn't planning on going in, I was just curious. I had a stroke of remorse, parked it where they told me and went into the casino. I came out a couple of hours later only to be greeted by several of the parking people telling me what fun they had and when was I coming back. I've not gone back with Agatha because I decided it wasn't fair to spoof the valet parking folk at the casino. Truthfully I had a great time with my intended prank. For those of you who know me, you know this is true as I've been known to spoof on occasion.
 
I took Elizabeth to the local Casino once...drove through the valet area...all the attendants came pouring out, until they saw the steering wheel on the right, and they all, every one, turned around and walked back to their domicile....
