Tony & all, saw this today.
Large city intersection, traffic at all times but especially at drive time. It is 5:30 pm. All lanes full. Ambulance approaching in full song, lights, horns, sirens. Has to get into opposite lane to get through the intersection. Sticks his nose in and stops. Light in his direction changes to green. Two seconds later, with all traffic stopped and apparently aware, a woman on his left (on the phone) runs the RED light and has to swerve to miss the ambulance but never seamed to be aware of anything or anyone except herself.
One of those times that I wished to be law enforcement so I could show her what a nice jail we have here.

Well, her insurance claims representative called today to ask about the accident....I told him my insurance company had already assigned an adjuster; so, he said he'd wait until he got a copy of the accident report & go through my company.
I got the accident report....she said she didn't see the stop sign because it was blocked by trees and shrubs! Bull....I drove down the street just like she did & took photos from as far away from the stop sign as 3 houses...no blockage...took another photo 2 houses from the intersection...sign was perfectly visible....then, I took a photo from the house on the corner...sign was in full view as was the wide white strip painted on her side of the road.
She just wasan't paying attention. PERIOD!
