The crew of B-17 "Mi Amigo" died when their aircraft crashed near Endcliffe Park, England, February 22, 1944. They were returning from a mission over Aalborg, Denmark.

Tony Foulds, a boy playing with friends, witnessed the crash; since then, he always felt the pilot had saved his life, as the aircraft missed him when coming down near where he had been playing. As an adult, Mr. Foulds cared for the local memorial to the Fortress crew.

This morning in England, the entire crew was honored:

For some reason, my eyes are wet.

Last night on Skynews they ran a story about this. It’s nice to see that the crew is being honored.

Great that they honer those men even all these year later. Is there no sound on the video on that page or is it just me?
