via instructions from the Model A club a service station that sells fuel without the bio additive in it. Just plane old gas.

Priced about the same, guy has been selling from this station since 1950 and provides full service for all. Cash only.

No more sticking float valves. Wheeeeee.

It is available guys just have to find it.

Good for you,Jack. Nobody around here seems to have fuel without the corn.

But, where have you been hiding?

Stuart.

Not hideing, lurking. No new adventures, weather has been awful. Already gave all the advise that folks could stand, etc. etc.

Ahhh, todays advise, keep what you got, it's cheeper. LOL

Well said, Jack. Well said.

More advise, only collect that to which you can do justice.

Aviation fuel has no ethanol and is 100 octane. It also has a small amount of lead in it. It is about $4.00 a gallon here in the St. Louis area. I use av gas in my 68 Beeza and once in a while, I splash a little in my 61 BugEye (it allows me to do wheelies).

Any small airstrip near your home is happy to sell you av gas.
Just take along a couple of 5 gallon gas containers.

I used to buy AV gas all the time when I lived in Anchorage, it ran real nice in my MGC. You could buy it at normal gas stations there. Chevron was closest to where I lived so I'd go and get it there.
Alaska has a lot of small planes (that's a major understatement as anyone who has lived there knows).

When I moved back to Washington state I started looking around for it. None for sale outside of airports. Airports all refuse to sell it for any other than aircraft use.
I had to dig a lot to find out why I was not allowed to buy it.
Turns out it's a tax thing, it's not taxed for road use and the state doesn't allow selling it (other than for aircraft use) for that reason.

Build a larger garage! Didn't he know that lawn is only an open space where no garage has yet been built?

Give it some time, Rick. It will be taxed....

That's the sad part, it is of course taxed but that tax doesn't go to the "road use" Gvt pocket like the gas at the pump.

Not sure if everyone knows but our state has about the highest gas tax of any in the country - and as we all know it all goes to build better and safer roads for us... Yeah, right.

Welcome to Canada

100 low lead AV gas is ideal to store in your car long term. This stuff has a great shelf life. I kept it in my big healey for years, well until my lil sis was going to write me a ticket for having it in a registered vehicle. She is a cop and they actually get versed in how to detect it in vehicles on the road.

And the last time they built a new road in this state?
Oh, hey, how about a new freeway to relieve 5 and 405?
Oh, how much of Hwy 2 is 2-lane, still?

Now they're worried how to fix stuff they didn't A) build right and B) didn't maintain for 50 years.....

MORONS!
