"TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Question:

Hi Folks;

I recently; Like Yesterday; came across an Opportunity to Purchase a `60 TR3A in what looks like pretty nice shape: I will be going to view her in the Very Near Future: I used to have a `58 TR3A & It was a Blast to drive:

I may be Selling My Sweet, Perfectly Good Running `66 TR4A-IRS? It`ll all depend on the TR3s Cond: If I should decide to Sell; She`ll probably go for $18K: The reliability factor with My car is that I would be very comfortable driving her from PA to CA & not think twice about it!!

Please keep this thread / Ad in your mind for Yourself & or Your Friends: I`ll keep You folks posted relative to my findings with the TR3:

Just don`t know what to do????????

ONLY $18,000. SOUNDS PRETTY LOW considering how
expensive it is to get these buggies operational
in the first place.

Do you think your car could make a 50 mile round
trip and not break down? Just curious is all. Don't
know a thing about TR3A cars.

best wishes,

d

Hi There Tinster;

My TR; You could drive from NE PA to Puerto Rico without any Issues whatsoever!!

PM me if your Interested;

Now THAT would be worth watching once he reached the southern tip of Key West.... <grin>

It will be interesting to see if Crypty changes his name to Amos before the Key West - Puerto Rico bridge/tunnel is completed. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

I, of course, think the TR4a irs TRs are special and regret the loss of enthusiasts like you and TR Jim.

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

Hi There 4aKen;

Thanx for the Positive Thought but Its not gone yet!

I`m going to view the TR3 this coming wk. & Then will decide what to do!

Regardless; I`ll be driving a LBC & will continue being on this Great Forum; Probably Forever:

Regards to All; Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Since you're pondering (more of less) a swap of a TR4A for a TR3A...

I love my TR3A but if I was driving from PA to CA I would defintely favor my TR4. The '3 is great for a day or two and maybe a 1000 mile trip but for looooong rides the TR4 is a more enjoyable ride.

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

Hi Geo Hahn;

Your Totally Correct!

I had a `58 TR3A & would only take her out for a couple of days at best: It was just such a blast watching the road fly by those low slung doors:

The TR4A is just a Total Pleasure to drive for any distance: It is considerably more "Civilized" than a TR3; For Sure: Would like to have them both but; No can do right now:

The phrase I used above (PA to CA) was to let people know about the Reliability of My TR4A: No; I`m not taking that drive or moving out there:

Thanx and Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

Hi There Folks;

Well; Its set! Will be viewing the TR3A tomorrow (Tues):

Shortly thereafter; I`ll post my intentions relative to My TR4A-IRS; "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"??

See Ya All Later;

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

Hi There Folks;

Well; Here`s the TR3A update:

Not bad: Not disappointed: As described: Decent Driver: I made an Offer to Buy today!

Therefore; My `66 TR4A-IRS is up "For Sale" to one Very Fortunate New LBC Owner: Wish I could have both of them; but that just can`t happen:

You can view my ad in the BCF Classifieds and would hope there is a buyer on this forum before it goes to ebay this weekend on Sun:

Thanx and Regards; Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winner1.gif

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

Hi There Scott;

Effort is approx. 1/2hr drive North from Allentown: I`m directly south (Approx 3-4mi) of Pocono Raceway off RT. 115:

You can either take the North East Extension to Rt.209N (Mahoning Valley Exit) or RT.33N to RT. 209S (Lehighton Exit): Where do you live in Lehigh Valley?

Thanx for Your Inquiry;

I would`nt worry about Mommy; But Wiffey???

Re: "TO SELL OR NOT TO SELL"? That is the Questio

Hi Dave;

Well; I hope so also:

Thats one reason why I posted her here: It would make me feel good to know that someone who appreciates these LBCs would like to own her; Especially someone Local:

Please remember Folks; This Sunday She`ll be on ebay if not sold:

Thanx and Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winner1.gif
