Looking into cleaning up all the bright work on our 1960 BN7. Can someone give me the final word on which pieces were originally chromed and which were simply polished? I've read that some of the pieces weren't originally chromed, I just don't know which ones. Here's what we are looking into.

Bonnet air intake (upper lip and grille)
Front grille
Upper and lower lips of front grille
Headlamp rims (original w/rivet)
Door handles

HI BRKN80, The following Items are chrome plated:

Bonnet Air intake upper lip & Air intake
Head light Rims
Door handles
Front Grill Surround:-------- Yes the wavy grill was plated I do not know if it is economically feasible to replate one Though. I guess it depends on how badly it is pitted.

Just so I'm clear, the wavy horizontal grille of the early 3000's wasn't chromed? How do you address pitting in this piece? Thanks

Anderson & Moment's book (p. 93) says: "An inner grille... with chromed wavy bars.... An upper 'eyebrow' piece of polished stainless steel.... A thin chromed lower lip...."

Hope this helps. I recommend Anderson & Moment's book, its now been reprinted in a new cover and should be easily available.
