to be or not to be a bugeye

"THIS IS AN ORIGINAL CAR" With aftermarket carbs, a boot, a front fender that doesn't fit.
"THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS CAR IS ITS ALL ORIGINAL AND HASNT BEEN BUTCHERED"

Ohhhh, the things on this site......Good catch Fred.

Worth every bit of the 510 bucks.

and it's got "THE ORIGINAL SPOKE MAGS". What a deal. The seller has added a note this morning claiming " I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS CAR SO YOU BE THE JUDGE . THESE CAES ARENT MY THING." Unfortunately, there are people out there that are looking for their first LBC and can get sucked in to something like this.

The engine has headers on it also, might be more there than meets the eya.

When they converted body styles for the sprites, there were a few prototypes with front fenders and hoods and the BE rear.

I believe that there were none that went the other way, but it is common to see a smiling face on squared arches. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Ooooooooooh! A BE with roll-up windows, a trunk lid and everything, Good golly miss molly, how much more could you ask for?

Of course there is "a little rust on the hood seams"...they are at least 15 years older than the rest of the car!!

Weber carb and headers though! I am surprized it's not one of those "rare 1500 cc bugeyes"...and WHAT is goin on under the dash with "stuff" hanging there? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

You know, if it were closer to me, I'd buy the little thing!

Certainly the price is right!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hey this is exactly what is going to happen to Bugsy my '68. Bugeye Bonnet is in the garage and has been for past 3+ years. Need to find time to get it blasted and repainted, a little metal welded in at the bottom rear corner, a little straightening and bondo and I'll have a '68 Bugeye. Since my existing hood is bent and cracked and both fenders are trashed along with a less than perfect grille I'm going over to a Bugeye front end.
