Went out to the garage to work on a couple of small items. That lasted about 5 min. 90+ and lots of humidity. No way.

You need a REALLY BIG FAN. My dad has one that is about 4 foot in diameter. I have fond memories of working in our old garage as a teenager with the fan blowing. On more than one occasion I took a nap on the creeper under the car with the fan blowing.

I just love the feeling where just getting your tools ready cause you to get soaked in sweat. That's nature's way of telling you to get back inside where it's cool.

Relax Jack...enjoy the day...It's HD Mirrors for me...

I remember Yuma Ariz as a kid helping my dad work on construction equipment on a site out in the middle of the desert. It was so hot that you couldn`t lay the tools down in the sun, if you did when you tried to pick them up they would burn your hands. The only shade was inside the trucks or underneath them. Inside was NOT an option, NO BREZE, you would be cooked in a matter of minutes. We had two igloo coolers, one full of icewater for us and the other full of water for the tools. Heat stroke, YEA I`v had it more than once! NOT FUN. And to this day I can`t take much heat or sun. In mid summer out there in that desert it isn`t uncommon for the temps to approach 118 degrees and into the 120`s NO, No humidity. But still plenty hot!

It made it all the way up to 61 here in Seattle yesterday!!
Today should get warmer, maybe to 65.

Heh, that's what we tell outsiders...

At lunchtime (an hour ago) I put the top down & drove around.
No better way to take a break from work. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I love the heat, will take it over cold any day! Jack, you should try Belize, I used to live there a few years back: 90+ pretty much every day and the only 2 places with air conditioning when I was there was a cafe in town and the Biltmore (which was fortunately right across the road!). The hottest I ever had to work in was amazingly in the UK- being a shorty I was the one who had to climb up into the upper layer of the trailers when we were loading all the cars for Formula Palmer Audi. The trucks had plexi glass roofs and man they got hot inside. I had a drop of sweat coming off my nose every 3 seconds!! An easy way to lose 7lbs in an hour!

Hey, we have a biltmore too biltmore

Hay, I spent 8 years in Saudi, and several years in places like Sudan, etc. Know all about hot and it was hot here or maybe I am just getting older.

Geez Kim, that's a bit posher than the Belize one: https://www.belizebiltmore.com/
Jack: Saudi is about as hot as FL, but FL has the humidity as well, which just saps your energy! Probably explains why I spent so much time in Belize "fishing" (read fast asleep on the boat) or lounging on the hammock...
