Hi guys,
I just bought some new wheels for my 62 Sprite and am now looking to get some new tires. The wheels are 5x13 and the tires I have now are P155/80R13. What are my options?
Thanks,
Roy

Welcome to the Forum, Roy!

Unfortunately, the choices for 13" tires are few and far between... and getting worse. Check Tire Rack for their selections.

Not sure about sizes that will work with what you have. I know that others here will be able to help with that.

Again, welcome!

Mickey

I figured out that 155-80R13 was the most readily available that was close to the original tire diameter. The 145SR-13 that was original came out to be a 145-82R13 using the current convention. I've seen several other spridget owners who settled on 155-80R13 as well, and they aren't too hard to come by. Finding somebody who can balance the factory rims is another story though...

If your new wheels have a different offset, it will change the whole scenario.

Here's a handy tool for help in making tire choices.

I run 175/70 on stock rims on a SWA car. I'd love to find 5" wide rims (NOT minilight style)

If you are looking at sizes to match the stock size approx.

Here is a quick and easy one

Easy tire size calculator

otherwise if you search you can find much more complicated ones. This gives you the measurements for checking clearance and I like the side by side comparison. Just a helpful little tool. I dont kow if this has been posted on here before or not.
