Need to get a new set of tires right now po put 206-60 r-15 steering feels alittle heavy standard car what size do you guys suggest
 
I'm running 205-70/15 and was told by previous owner's mechanic that is the largest size that will provide clearance as well as speedometer accuracy.
 
I don't have a TR6 but of course that doesn't stop me from having an opinion. The Vredestein Sprint Classics in 185/15 look like a good choice for obtaining original handling from a quality tire. I have them on my 'non TR' LBC. Only possible problem is that there has been a disruption in production and they may not be available for the next 6 months.

On my TR4 I have Bridgestone Potenzas in 195/65 and like the handling, does not feel heavy to me - but that is with a wider wheel.

Choices abound.

Hi, 2nd on the Vredestein. I am on my third set of them on TR's and will probably put them on my 'B. They are a great tire for what they are and have the period look. My only negative observation is that they are soft which is good for handling but wear quickly which, for me, is not an issue given the limited use of my cars. One big upside is that they hardly flat spot. Can leave them sitting for weeks and drive off without chattering teeth too badly (can you say Conti DW!).
 
I'm running Falken 512's in 215/65/15's on my TR6. The rims are 6" wide KN Minatur's. Minilite look a likes. The springs are stock. No wheel spacers... They have never rubbed or interfered with any suspension parts. I like the performance and the look.

Basis this comment, I just ordered five from Coker, and they are in stock as of today. (165HR15; not 185 as some prefer. I am sticking with stock, with full understanding that I may regret that decision!)

I was under the impression that TR6s originally came with 185/15s.

Okay - I see that you have a TR4A so yeah - 165s are as original. It is the 185 size that encountered a production disruption.
 
On the G800, Pirelli did a similar pattern as I just saw a set on a Spitfire (13 inch).
Like Marvin, I have one G800 as a spare in my TR6 and will one day find out where Marvin is hiding his on the farm. LOL
