MGA Tires for the MGA

Hello people,
Bought a '60 MGA about a year ago, and it's time to put new tires on it.
I'm looking for suggestions from owners who are happy with a particular brand/model tire that they're using or have used on their MGA.
I don't plan on driving the car hard nor in the rain. I'll be using the 165R15 size. Thanks!

You might consider checking out www.tirerack.com.
I don't know what they have in your size but they have some interesting tables which compare actual owners ratings of the various models of tires they carry (which is a lot).
From these tables I learned that people who bad mouth a tire by brand are not being fair or accurate. Bridgestone for instance makes some models which are not (according to owners) worth mounting but other models which are great.
The tables ratings include wet/dry cornering, wear/ noise etc.
Their prices are good (at least for Miata tires) and some models prices are great! They will give you the names of stores in your area which will mount the tires at reasonable prices.
No, I don't work for them, and in fact used their data to select a tire, and then bought it locally at about the same price they were asking. I did this because I didn't want to drive the tires to the mounting place in my truck and then go back and drive my car to their store. (Its hard to carry 4 loose tires in the passenger seat of a Miata).
Good source of information though.

Jim,
Thanks for going out of the way to give a run-down on the site. I'll spend some time there after I send this off.
