I have just bought new 70 spokes 6''x15 wire wheels for my healey 3000 Mk1. Does anybody know what kind of tires that will look good with these wheels.
And I have bought oilfilter adaptor to fit the filter straight on to the engine block. It comes with filter from Unipart GFE 264. Does anyone know what kind of oilfilter this equals from Fram, or any other filter companies /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

John, your Healey looks great. The tires fill out the wheelarches nice.
What brand of tires do you have ?
Is that 5,5" wheels or 6" wheels ?

Hi Karl,
I have no opinion on the tires.

The following filters are listed as fitting a TVR V6. Not your car but same Unipart filter.
Unipart GFE264
Fram PH2854
Crossland 547
Coopers Z501
Motorcraft EFL38
Maybe this will give you a start. Good luck,
D

Karl--

i purchased the spin-on adapter from MOSS and use a K & N #2009 filter.

The tires are Riken, the rim width is 6". You can (I hope) see some additional views at Healey Photos . These will give you some other angles. Ignore the door seal photos, they're not for your model.

John, thanks for the link to the pictures. This is just the information I needed. I see from the pictures that this is the tiresize I want. Hopefully I will find som Avon ZZ at this dimmension. I am on my way to the tireshop.
And thanks for the filterinformation, Fram filters are much more availible here than Unipart filter, which I have to order from UK. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Before you purchase the Avon ZZ (I think it is properly the CR6ZZ be sure to check for actual tire section and diameter dimensions. I believe this tire is wider and smaller by several .1" than the 175/70 zX (no longer available)or correct 5.90/15. I have found one tire close to original correct diameter is the Vredestein Sprint Classic in 185/50 or even better the Michelin XAS (very expensive) available from Coker.

Whatever you buy please let us know how it looks and performs.
