Tire pressure monitoring system [TPMS] for Healey?

Has anyone tried installing a TPMS on their Healey? There are after market versions that have a sensor to screw into the end of your valve stem, then have a monitoring unit for inside the car. Some run off a lighter outlet (unfortunately negative ground), some are solar powered. The ones I see online seem like they would not have enough room to project past the spokes.

I recently had had a front flat tire at 55Mph, came to a safe stop, but destroyed the tire.

Thanks for for any input,
Rob
