Tire inflation -- without a pump of any kind

It won't actually inflate the tire. The propellant in the aerosol is flammable and the rapid heating / explosion is enough to force the tire back on the rim but as soon as the gasses cool off the pressure will drop back to 0.

Yup. but it will seat the bead so that you can then inflate it.

Sometimes it's the only way to get big all-terrain tires to seat.

done that. I usually spray a trail along the floor for a few feet, and light the end. I really hate doing that though. It just aint safe. But like Rustbucket said, sometimes that's the only way.

That is also how Low-riders get those real skinny tires on to a really wide wheel and get the sidewalls to slope towards the center.
