Tipping my cap to Angels Fans

My beloved fiancee got me tickets to the MLB all-star game last week, and it was my first visit to Angel's Stadium. It was my first all-star game and it was awesome! If you ever have the chance to go, I highly recommend it!

I also want to sing the praises of the fans at Angels Stadium. Although the Angels are bitter AL rivals of my Red Sox, I have to say that it was the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a major league baseball game. We go to a lot of games -- we hit four or five Nationals games a season, and then see the Sox whenever they're in Baltimore, and once a year make a pilgrimage to Fenway. I have to say that we've stopped taking our boys to night games because there is *so* much alcohol served at the games, with the direct result of a lot of rowdy fans and a *lot* of bad language. Although some parks -- Orioles Park in particular -- try to keep it family friendly, the bottom line is that we only take the boys to day games, when the fans seem a *little* better behaved (but not much). Please don't misunderstand me -- I'm not a t-totaller by any stretch of the imagination, but it just seems to be that every season there's more public drunkenness and more bad behavior.

However, Angels Stadium was a breath of fresh air. The fans we met (almost all of whom were Angels regulars) were universally friendly, welcoming and warm. And this was despite the fact that we were decked out from head to toe in our Red Sox gear. There was of course some drinking (who doesn't enjoy a beer at a game), but I saw nobody really hammered, and heard absolutely NO bad language. I wish I could say that guests at Fenway, Nationals Park or Camden Yards would have received the same treatment that we received from our fellow baseball fans.

So, I tip my Red Sox cap to my bitter rivals at Angels Stadium. I still can't stand Mike Socha, but Angels fans have earned my respect and my gratitude for a fantastic baseball experience.

So how many real Angel fans where really there. Most of the tickets are given away.
Did like the way they boo'd the heck out of the north eastern teams

First park I've been to that sells hard liquor :thirsty:

Almost everyone sitting around us were Angles fans with seasons tickets, so they were local regulars. All super friendly! Must be the weather.
