I brought this tinplate Austin Healey 100 model on eBay which has just arrived. Have never seen one before apart from this one, anyone seen similar before or know age or manufacturer? image.jpg

Here's a link saying it was manufactured in W. Germany in the '60s:

https://www.antiquetoyworld.com.au/past_toys/

But take a look midway down the page at the Old Irish Racing site (great collection of Healey models, btw): https://www.oldirish.com/collection/healey.html That says it looks like a '70s or '80s model. I'm pretty sure I saw one of these for sale in a toy store in Boston around that time (just a regular store selling stuff to tourists, not any kind of antique or vintage store) so I'm inclined to go with the Old Irish estimate.

I rather like the 1/8 scale 100 on the oldirish page. I suspect, however that the price might be a tad out of my range.

Thanks HealeyRicks for the links, I was thinking around the 30 year old mark so that ties in but I was thinking Japanese origin.
Have been waiting over 20 years for someone to bring out a 1:18 scale 100 but it's seems destined not to happen.
