Tina Turner - RIP

Seems ironic that i was watching a TV program the other day about outstanding female artist, she was on the list.
but never doubted for second that she wouldn't be, Amazing is an understatement,
Loved her in Mad Max Beyond the Thunder Dome, "Ragedy Man"

โ€œSimply the best.โ€ Her rendition with Ike Turner of โ€œProud Maryโ€ is wonderful. โ€ฆetc.

Incredible lady - had to put up with serious โ€œstuffโ€ in life. Hats off. RIP

Good recapping of her life and impact.

Another incredible part of our musical world gone - I can't claim to be a huge fan, but she had songs (both in the Ike/Tina era and in her solo career) that were definitive standouts and she did very well on the movie screen as well - I thought her character in Thunderdome was fantastic and the song she did for the film was perfect in the cinema setting AND it could stand on its own over the radio independant of the film. And you can't ignore her personal story and what she overcame - not just as a personal triumph but also was one heck of a role model and beacon of hope for others facing similar circumstances.

I remember seeing her perform at my college. Can't remember if it was 1970 or 71. Fantastic show. I think she was still with Ike.

I'm going to guess the photo with the Aston was from when she recorded the theme song for Goldeneye, since its front plate says '007.'

Is the car with the 1 Tina plate a Series 3 Type?
I would think so, since the over riders have the little rubber bumpers on them.
