I have to replace push rods on my 67 Austin healy sprite , I believe I will need to pull the head, to do it. I will be replacing lifters as well. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks

No need to pull the head. Just remove the rocker arm and the two side plates on the block and you can pull out the pushrods and lifters. Have fun!
