does anybody know of a gear drive to replace the timing chain on the spitfire 4 cylinder i have looked every place i could and found nothing ?

If you replace a chain drive with a gear drive your camshaft will go round backwards.

Only if it doesn't include an idler gear.

That said, I've never heard of one made specifically for a Spit.

What's wrong with a timing chain? if you are having problems with them stretching, you could fit a duplex chain, gears and tensioner from a TR6, it's a direct fit.

i had one on a 283 chevy motor and it made the timing spot on ;but thats ok i can live without one.
