Sorry to bring this up again. I was reading about the timing being checked at 3000rpm and that the advance was to be 34 to36 degrees. When I checked it I got 45 degrees. This seems impossible. At idle I am at 18 degrees as recommended by Advanced Distributor. What gives?

Well TG. if ot is a stock dizzy just rebuilt then set it like the book says.--Keoke

I just talked to Jeff (who rebuilt it a year ago) and he reminded me that the vacuum needed to be disconnected (dah). I'll check it again tonight.
