BA...Now that I've read through this string, I'll throw my car into the ring for your consideration. If you're interested in going vintage racing with a car that's eligible with all groups and is the car that many early racers started racing with way back in the 50's, take a look at my 1951 MG TD Vintage Race Car that I have listed in the classified section on this forum. It's a former VSCCA car that I brought out west a few years ago, restored, and raced in a number of events out here in CA. You can also see more pics and more info about the car on www.race-cars.com Having raced spitfires, spridgets, open wheel, etc. this car is lotsa fun, easy and relatively inexpensive to maintain. In addition, it's street licensed so you could drive it to the track, although VIR is a bit of a drive from MD. Reason for selling: My fleet of vintage race cars has got too big. Enjoy....Steve

Thanks for the offer, skupferman, but I started in Spridgets, that's what I know how to set up, and I've a garage full of spridget stuff (well, sort of, no one ever has enough). Discussions on the Detroit car this pm -
 
Hi again, BCF racing forum viewers, just to let you know I bought Kendall Jones' car, looks like it will be well suited for the SCCS/vintage hybrid I want to build. I'm drawing some of my old racing buddies from Michigan into the process as well. Thanks to all for their helpful comments, and I'll post here when the project is moving towards completion.

Hope this isn't clogging up your thread too badly. BTW, good luck with Kendall's car. That car is historic in a way. It was the first limited-prep H-Prod Spridget to hit the track. Glad to see that it's getting back out there.

I have a nice clean 72 Midget all steel, with full cage, cell, springs. stock, motor and trans. I was building it for vintage but have two cars and need room.
I'm in Hilton Head SC.

Better hurry and get your ride before the season starts. You'll need time to sort things out no matter how "race ready" the previous owner claimed the car to be.
Believe me I know!
