Triumph, MG, Lotus, Morgan, Jaguar stand right beside Ford Pinto and the AMC Grimlin.

Perhaps we need to respond with "The 50 stupidest articles ever written by people that had no idea what they were talking about" article. The very rare 4 cylinder corvair. If amphicars are so utterly horrible, how come they sell for so much these days?? What a maroon!

I owned a 1975 TR7 once and I'm siding with Time magazine on that particular model year TR7. But my axle never fell out and I'll bet nobody else's did either unless it was after an accident.

It's no secret that TR7s were sabotaged at the factory during labor negotiations in the 70's.

I don't know about this silly list.

I owned a Corvair Monza Spyder, which I swear
had 6 cylinders, and I enjoyed the car a bunch.
(Other than throwing fan belts and overheating
going up steep mountains in Pennsylvania.

It was a fun college car. Ran great in the snow.

Just remember that this list is one person's selection, and some of the cars selected were never even built. I found it fun in a "My favorite songs of the 1960's" or "The best movies I am embarrassed to say I like" type of list.

I found it enjoyable and fun, and I like a number of cars on the list.

ALL the other Triumphs were good to go HURRAY!!!EXCEPT Lord Lucas & Kilroy are STILL the culprits they ALWAYS have been.
Especially the silly direction the turn signals always decide to go while your unaware.;-)

Just got home from the Watkins Glen Vintage festival... Funny how many of those "worst cars ever" were there being loved and honored.
There was even a guy there rallying a restored Gremlin. It was cool.
My wife had a Chevette... you coulden't kill that car.

If they wrote an article on the top 25 worst publications of all time, would they include themselves. Haven't found them to be newsworthy for decades.

This bozo can tell the difference between a poorly marketed car and a poorly designed car. Apparently old cars should also be measured by 2007 standards! After all the fit and finish wasn't very good on a Model T so it must be a crappy car! And Ugly cars seem to make them bad also. Apparently the fact that economic conditions have been very different in different parts of the world over the last 100 years wasn't quite clear either.

You KNOW the guys a little crazy when he puts that 1958 Zunndapp Janus on the list! I have heard that of the 33 that were built, 28 are still in a warehouse in Nuremberg with the plastic still on the seats waiting for the back seat adapters to turn them forward facing.

The guy is rather clever with his insults though.

Articles like this should be labeled, "For Entertainment Purposes Only". If you're a car guy, you don't give a rat's butt what this guy thinks about the love of your life. If you're not a car guy you won't read the article anyway so it's pretty much irrelevant, isn't it?

I had a girlfriend back in the day that had a 4cyl. corvair that turned circles twice on me on very easy twist in the road...somewhat disconcerting.

Thank goodness he didn't write this around 1980, anything English would have filled the first 25 positions.

Was there a good American car built between 1973 thru 1982?

10 loser cars is easy to find and slam....50 is kinda hard.
