tie rod end mounting

I got a tie rod end set for my 67' everything looks fine & they installed okay - however the new tie rods mounted to the spindle with a "nylock" nut instead of a slotted nut with cotter pin. Just wanting to make sure that I got the right ones, I noticed that some later midgets had the nylock nut - I'm assuming that this is the "replacement" style that covers a broader range of years ?

The lock nuts will work fine. Watch your inner wheel clearance if you are not using the stock wheels.

Lock nuts on my replacements as well - had to do a little grinding to clear my Minator rims though.
