Throttle return spring location

Is anyone familiar enough with the Italia to know where/how the throttle return spring attaches to the firewall? I am assuming that it is the same spring that is used on a TR3. The firewall is fiberglass and does not have the little eye welded below the bellcrank for the spring.

There's a pedal return spring?

I only have the one on the engine side of the firewall? That might explain a few things with mine.

I can only think of two options, bore a hole and bolt a clip on or epoxy one in place. I would lean towards the bolted clip.

Sheet steel bracket fabbed to hold the spring and backed pop rivets to attach: plate on the opposite side as backing, to distribute the stress.

I'd not trust just bonding it to 'glass.
