Throttle linkage saga continues

Can someone please tell me what I have done wrong? The long linkage piece and the short linkage piece are both the length that Moss has and that a couple of forum members confirmed. I have the bell crank properly oriented (I believe) and the linkage doesn't fit. It hits the side of the intake mounting ear and the throttle
isn't completely closed.

Here are some pictures to hopefully help:

Thanks for any help.

I'm certainly no expert, but it looks to me like the short link should be adjusted to be a bit longer. Mine is set with roughly 5/8" between the nuts, while yours looks like only 1/4". That extra 3/8" should be enough to let the throttle close before the linkage hits the manifold.

Zimmy, turn your pivot plate around and upside down, move the ball on the carb to the outside and see what happens. Looks wrong from here and I will check the one I just did for a friend if this is not right.

PS>>>LOOKS NICE AND CLEAN.

Here's a pic of mine w/ just the carbs removed, linkage unattached:

Here's the front linkage all assembled, but with heat shield in the way:

Hope that helps!

By the way - the linkage is on a TR4A with Z-S carbs. Sorry - that may make a difference for your answers. Thanks for the help.

Yup, figured that. But the links & bellcrank are the same as the earlier cars. It didn't change until the HS6 carbs.
