Throttle Jack up-date.......................
At the British Motoring Club of New Orleans annual car show I had the famous Poolboy (of 6-Pack fame) help me with my idle. I had a borrowed timing light in hand when Ken (Poolboy) said skip the timing light and he whipped out a vacuum gauge. He attached it to the spare port on my intake and had me rotate my dizzy till I had about 16lbs of vacuum on the intake. Like night and day! My idle settled down to 1000 at idle and the car has never run so good. (Thanks, Ken!) Anyway, my throttle jack invention works great. At 1000 rpm idle, the engine gets a little weak at a red light. No problem, just hit the switch for the fan/throttle jack and I have in instant additional 300 rpm to keep me from dying. Works like a charm. Only have to use it in heavy stop-n-go traffic when the cam doesn't like to idle.
