Three bags, our hearts, our prayers.

That is on my facebook page because that is what my wonderful daughter had with her when my wife and I left her at the airport last night. She's off to Costa Rica for the first term of her senior year of college and won't be back until just before Christmas. She's been farther away (Europe and India) but never for so long. I am so grateful and happy for her that she has been able to have the opportunity to do this but today I am having a hard time. I feel like Steve Martin in "Father of the Bride" when he sees his daughter as a little girl sitting at the dinner table.

Eric -

Bittersweet, I'm sure. But what an opportunity for her! Costa Rica's on my list to visit - beautiful country. I'm sure she'll love it.

At the same time, it's tough to let go, even if it's only for a short time. New chapter in both your lives. Enjoy/live it for what it is.
