Ok MG forum,
You guys where very helpful with my last post!
This one should be easy...
Can anyone confirm the thread pitch on a
1976 MGB as 12x1.25?

Thanks in advance.
Steven

***Correction***
I forgot the most important part
"The thread Pitch on the Wheel lug!"
Sorry, Thanks
Steven

l'd say most likely to be 1/2 inch UNF which generally comes with 20 TPI - ie a pitch of very nearly 1.25mm.

Unlikley to be metric, we did'nt 'do' metric in the UK in the seventies!

I'll happily be corrected if wrong.

Burg is correct. Standard lugs on an MGB are 1/2"-20. 12mm-1.25mm will be ~close~ but it will not fit quite right and will cross thread and cause head aches.

I've yet to find any metric nuts or bolts on my B... well, except for a conversion i did.

Lug nuts and studs are not metric on a stock MGB.
