4 days and no responses?
Couple of suggestions for the newbie -
Check your area for a machine shop - the older the shop the better, and for that matter, the older the shop owner/employees, the better. More than likely they will have thread gauges and micrometers and other such measuring devices that will allow them to identify the thread. Doesn't have to be a business, can be a machine shop class in a local community college or high school.
If you can't find a machine shop, then check with your local hardware store. I don't mean the big name home improvement shops, I mean the "mom and pop" hardware store that has disappeared from most areas. The kind of store where you can buy everything from Alladin lamp globes to zerk fittings, and if they don't have it, know where they can get it or have it made. If they don't have the know-how to identify your thread, then maybe they have a large enough nut and bolt selection for you to test your way to an answer.
Another place to look would be a well equipped automotive parts store, especially one that can make high pressure hoses.
