I feel like I'm supposed to have some sort of grand words of wisdom today as I turn 40, but really all I can think is that I wish it were warmer so I could be outside having fun, rather than working away in my office on some tedious data collections for the Feds.

Ah well, pays the bills... ;)

Happy Birthday!

I remember 40.

I think.

Happy, happy, anyhoo!

40 is a long way back in my rear view....but I think I had some fun.

Oh, yeah... would love to be 40 again! Enjoy it. "60" (just last August) was only made better by a surprise party of about 45 people.
Have a good one.

Happy BD, it won't sink in for another couple of years. I wish I was 20 again..

Congrats on another milestone of your life....

"At twenty years of age, the will reigns; at thirty the wit; at forty the judgment." - Benjamin Franklin

Silly question... What is 40 like?

Remember... You are only as old as you act.

I knew it, I knew it - I am young! As to turning 40 a lot like turning 50 which is a lot like turning 60 which is a lot like ... That's it, I'm done! TMI

I had no problem turning 40 - until my Wife repeatedly told me
how bad I was supposed to feel.

Thanks, guys. As with any birthday, I don't feel a whole lot older than yesterday.

Heck, most of the folks I hang out with are a fair amount older than I am, and they're still climbing mountains and driving their LBCs hard. Works for me.

Happy Birthday, Drew!

Forty is fine. You will still heal quickly enuff if ya do somefin' silly.

Jus' don't do th' SAME silly things at sixty...

Happy Birthday my friend - and many many more!

40? 40? 40? my memory doesn't go back that far:sorrow:. My better half has been telling me "you can't do that your almost 70" and i'm not i'm only 67 so I can still do it if I want.

Happy(belated) Birthday Drew

Not to worry, that'll pass. :jester:

Happy birthday Drew! I can't remember 40, but I do know this, after 60, the birthday scene ended for me! Couldn't afford the candles! :jester: PJ

Thanks again, all of you.

My wife did something really nice for me last night. She knew I didn't want a big fuss made, but she still got a bunch of my friends together for a surprise dinner at a local restaurant. Got to see some folks I hadn't seen in a couple years -- meant a lot to me.

And yes, they made me wear the silly hat, but at least I got some good cake out of it. No singing, though, which was just fine (though my group of friends are mostly musicians, so it wouldn't have been bad).
