Thought you all might like these.

You get what you pay for I supose. Hay, I am not unhappy. Those two TF 1500s were very nice cars and the guys were nice as well. In fact I spent most of the afternoon under the shade awning with those folks and we had a very nice time. I expect I will see them again but will not be in their class for the Brit shows. Good time had by all. I did get a big hand from them and lots of well dones and smiles when I got the trophy.

It has only caused me to plan on improving Miss Agatha a bit over the next months. Always room for improvement you know, nothing is really ever finished.

Isn't the idea of restoration to reproduce the original build warts and all? To me anything more gets into the resto-mod area and that's a very slippery slope.

I remember reading an article years ago, about a bugeye, that was being restored and they talked the owner (the words "good sport" were used to describe him) into letting them intentionally leave or even create some dings and paint imperfections to make it as original looking as possible.
Wonder if you get points for stuff like that?

Naaa. They judge on how good it is.

Sounds like vandalism to me.

My Jensen-Healey came with factory original rust....

I'll not be attempting that level of accuracy in my work on it.... :jester:

Guy at the car show/cruise-in in my town had a '74 Jensen Healey, spent some time talking to him. Cool car. I liked it best out of the other 50 cars there, that and my Midget were the only cool cars there, too many vettes and muscle. Don't see too many Jensen Healeys around. I don't anyway.
