Thought of the Day

P.S. the kid almost fainted as they told him who he was. He had no idea.

That method of finding a vehicle's center is one of Sir Isaac Newton's Unwritten Corollaries.

One pal has a fair bunch of tools found in various customers' cars, calls it his "cow-tool collection."

Thought it was a Yellow Submarine!

"It' all too much!"

I called them and told them, wrong name, wrong car. Then they asked if I had the car, said no, not your name no, someone else's. Still getting calls and cards.

I "pressed 1" on one a couple days ago just to have a little fun. Lady assured me that they had "checked my records and the warranty was about to expire." I told her I had recently bought the car and the seller warned me it was about to expire. She then needed to know the car so she could "pull my file." I said 1967 Austin Healey. She asked "don't you have something newer?" I said no and she hung up. Not as much fun as I was hoping for. Apparently she has been scammed on that one before.

I did that once. Told the kid I had a 58 Jag, said it wasn't a problem. I then asked where would they get parts and who would work on it. No problem, they would find somebody. He wasn't going to give up.
