Thought of the Day

I think I sat next to that couple in a restaurant last night. I am always amazed at the folks who go to a nice restaurant and sit at he same table staring at their phones.
I've been to restaurants where everyone at one table was looking
at their phones, and nobody was talking to anyone.
I had a nightmare last night that I'd received a text,but didn't know it,
so I was unable to respond immediately to it.I woke up in a cold sweat, and
realized that I don't even own a Smart phone.

And you see that even in a war zone. I've noticed that in news video from places where fighting is occurring round the world, if they're showing refugees you can see young folks who are living in the open staring at their phones.

Apples and Oranges. 'kids these days' (of whatever age) in North America have a privilege. Cell phones for migrants and refugees are a necessity for keeping in touch with family and for personal safety.

Interestingly (and hopefully not politically) My brother recently met a doctor who lives in Jerusalem - he and his family have a 'missle warning app' on their phones. If I needed a missle warning app, I would keep my phone open too.

We have them in western Oklahoma as well. There are places out in the field where even my dog avoids because it is overgrown with goat heads. They are hard to eradicate, and the seeds can lay dormant for years and then sprout. I just try and keep my grass short to keep them from growing tall enough to sprout their nefarious seed pods.

Looking at what those kits are selling for these days you seem to have nice IRA in your closet.
