Thought of the Day

Reminds me of my first Christmas in college. Was home on break and expected to sleep in a bit. My then 6yo youngest brother came into the room, grabbed a shoe, and swatted me in the head. Then running out of the room yelled "It's Christmas morning, get up!!". Yes, he did get to grow up after that...

I must confess that I took a spill down some steps last summer when my wife and I went abroad. The stairs were carpeted with the same geometric design carpet as the floor. Down I went and scared the he|| out of my wife. Luckily the only thing I hurt was my pride.

Stairs can be deceptively dangerous, especially as we get older.
Mrs JP have this conversation constantly - I am completely paranoid about stairs. Years ago I had a friend who came down the stairs at night and stepped on her cat - Her back was a mess from that time forward.

More recently a friend had his (small) dogs get underfoot on the landing at the top of the stairs - he grabbed the railing and didn't fall but has now had two surgeries on his shoulder.

Did I also mention getting old sucks. :rolleyes2:

That said - anyone watch Midsomer Murders? (If you do you will know the connection) :D
