Thought of the Day

Not so much a joke as a sad reality. Mrs JP was talking to a young man after church on Sunday who had 1. just started high school and 2. Just gone to his first high school dance and 3. Invited a girl to said dance.

The dance itself was a retro theme as you do. The theme? Y2K! yikes!

Most of the kids I work with can't go 5 minutes without checking their phone.
I've made a suggestion to management - text them with a message.
"PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY & GET BACK TO WORK!"

On a very related tack ...

Check out the movie "The Circle". A digital world, where we all know everything about everybody, and it's all in "the cloud". It ain't pretty.

Got my phone with me most of the time, but it's either sitting on the desk or in my pocket, not in my hand. Have to admit I haven't worried about setting up the assistant using it for browsing or buying or anything but calls and the occasional text.

At our grocery store phones are supposed to be off during work, but they go get carts and hide behind a car to text.
