Seen a lot of that here lately!
 
I did that once.... dropped the iron while working and instinctively grabbed it mid air.... took a while to heal.
Yea, I do something like that every 10 years or so.
 
Guy was getting ready for four hour drive and said his brakes felt weird. Declined all services and left for trip.

Hope shop had a signed waiver when he left.
 
If not, they may have had a "waver" standing outside giving a, bye bye....
Don't know where is (or maybe was after the trip), but in Illinois if a shop determines a car is unsafe, it can call the police and have them handle it.
