Thought of the day-Innovative car repairs

I did this on my Chevy Express van. The fuel pump failed just after I filled the 1 1/2’ x 1’ x 6’ tank with 30+ gallons of gas. No way I could drop a tank weighing over 200 lbs.

Knew a guy who was a grad student back in my college days who had his car fall off the lift at the dealer's. Was in for a warranty check, landed on the roof and was a total.

Did the warranty cover it?

Nope, they said dealer error, not a failure of the car or components. Dealer gave a insurance payment, bout enough to cover the remaining payments so he had to get another car on his own.
