Thought of the day-Innovative car repairs

Might sound crazy to some, but mud wasps as we have here will build their mud nests everywhere something sets for a while and some are pretty heavy. (n)
Yup, they love to build in sheltered areas (out of the wind and the sun), which includes inside wheel wells and even on the back side of wheel rims.

The only good thing about those little beasts is that they don't sting (at least not the ones round here). I remember swatting at one, it came back at me for a second, but it was as if he wanted to get a good look at my face just so he could remember to stay away from me.

I think the name "Die Hard" is appropriate:

I have one of the old time exhaust whistles that you stick in the exhaust tailpipe. I used it carfully so I could get it back.

I did it. I bought my daughter a $4 harmonica to zip tie to the frame of my son's pickup.

Back when they had hubcaps I removed the left-front one from a buddies car and put a couple of small stones inside. Every rotation of the wheel made a clanking sound. It drove him crazy
