Nice pics, Nial. I particularly liked the "16" Sprite, looks like one of the works racers. I haven't been to Thompson since the late '70s and it sure has improved. Nice garages, looks like NHIS. I followed "16" around for a while thinking that rear window on his hardtop look very familiar. Turns out it's a rare hardtop and that rear window is from an Austin A30!

Not sure if it's a tribute. Probably, but it's a VSCCA car, so might be the real deal.

I know I've said this before: we have Graham Hill's original Speedwell Sprite racing with us.

Glad to see that I made it into the gallery.

The G4 ran well and you may have been around for the session I had with the very well-driven silver spridget (1275 in sheep's clothing). We were going at it tooth and nail with me barely ahead till I got run off the track on next to last lap by someone who I will not name. I probably would not have been able to have effected a repass on the remaining lap but in any case broke a throttle cable and the question became moot.

I tried to fix it with an old cable I had on hand but no dice and I went home on Sunday.
