This Would Make a Great Christmas Gift

Nice car! Do you think the tach is rotated like that so the redline can be seen?

I got to drive one of the sister cars to this one. They are absolutely incredible to drive and would likely outpace a big Healey on track.

Depends on the track......

With a Kamm rear, no less. Looks a bit like Bill Emerson's custom WSM Sprite, which was featured in the latest Hemming's Classic Cars:

Dougie,
That Car is a treasure. I put in a word with Santa for you, but he just smiled!😜

From the pictures, the engine appears to be dry sumped. Very interesting for a production based motor of that era.
As Dougie says depends on the track. At Limerock my FP Sprite could easily live with the one big EP Healey every where but the front straight.

Not many purpose built race cars this original any more. Most have been raced and evolved over time and no longer resemble the original configurations, or they have been restored to LOOK original but are not.

I race with a club member who owns the rare 1965 Sebring Sprite open car here in the PNW with SOVREN. It's very original and has been restored to a high standard, but doesn't have the hp to run with the higher output cars.

When I put a word in with Santa for me, he didn't just smile - he laughed! Loudly. Doug
