MY suspicion came when I saw the email address {Besides, I couldn`t win a ticket to a free dance anyway}
Why wouldn`t the email addy be @mircosoft.com or even @aol.com?

I just thought someone besides me would get a chuckle out of this scheme.

Why didn't I win that one. You are just so LUCKY!

I only have dead relatives leaving me money. I always reply to these "lawyers" with my attorney's phone number and ask them to complete the details with my lawyer. My lawyer must not be following through as I keep finding that the money never gets to me.

Oh well.

You'd be surprised how many people actually fall for that stuff. It only takes a few for it to have been worth the scammer's time.

Did any of you see the expose on TV done by the "To Catch a Predator" crew on the Nigerian scams? I find it amazing that people actually fall for that stuff, especially to the tune of thousands of dollars lost, but they do!!! A 1% response rate for those scammers keeps it worthwhile for them, AND it's a world-wide scam!!!

I recieved SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many of those Nigerian email scams. I finaly did reply.
Here is what I said.
Please send my money via special messenger. {gave them ficticious information} I will, upon reciept of my winnings remitt back to the messenger 10% of the money to be split between him and you at your descretion. Also use ANY amount of my winnings for your messengers travel expenses, first class of course.
Then I commenced to configure my spam filter to be rid of the nigerian buggers once and all forever.
I havn`t heard from them scence.

Every day I get something between 10 million and 100 million dollars in "winnings", but somehow my spam filter keeps me from collecting. Maybe I should sue the spam filter guys.
