What boggles my mind is the programming needed for the 'copter to fly in 1% earth's atmosphere, plus a different gravity. The robot has to figure it out on it's own since no one can control it remotely at that distance. NASA simulated the 1% atmosphere, but I didn't here about the gravity differences.

We'll be jumping between NASA and Formula-1.

We'll be on our Club Season Opener drive.
I was in high school when the first space shuttle launch happened. I didn't want to miss it so I brought a small black and white TV in. Was able to watch the event in my drama class. That of course was before the internet and YouTube.

I was in Junior High when Neil and Buzz walked on the moon! The family was huddled around a 19" Zenith black and white set. And now we're flying helecopters on Mars!

I just heard on the news that an actual piece of the Wright brother's flyer is on board the helicopter. I find that so awesome.

The flight has been pushed back to the 14th at the earliest. NASA spun up the rotors to 50 RPM and they encountered something. Not sure exactly what. Waiting for AAA ro show up now.

No need to wait for service when there’s help locally.

Watched the "making of" video and those props are very interesting (large, hollow and made of carbon-fiber).

Looks like the first flight will be no earlier than April 14th. Most of the news has been about it being dropped out of the belly of its mother.

Great video! I forgot how much power is used just for heating. Amazing how much stuff was used "off the shelf."
Thanks.
