Everyone here is always nice and polite. No one has a problem with answering a question that has been asked THOUSANDS of times. I don't think I've once EVER seen a post requesting a new member "search" to find an answer. If anything, folks will search for them and post a link to the info they seek.

Go somwhere else and ask a simple yes or no question and you're dismissed.

I don't know about you guys but I don't have time for a place that doesn't have time for me.

Here's to BCF

(Which of course means....you poor guys are stuck with me  )

Thanks.

rk, you a member of that?

I second that! A couple of other nameless forums I stop by once in a while have the same attitude that Bill found. Amazing that anyone stays a member of those forums after such an inviting welcome from the locals. Of course they make it through the hazing, and gladly join in the sport as soon as they can get away with it.
"Go buy the Bentley manual That will tell you how to fix it." Which translates to me "I don't care to help you out if you don't already know" or more likely, "I don't know how to fix that either, but I can keep my clout on here by telling you off".
So glad this place is not like that.

Here's the kicker, the guy who blew me off ~OWNS~ the joint ~AND~ sells stuff that the place is about.

I kindly thanked they for there input, assured them I was "up to speed" and stated I would find help elsewhere.

Nice.....
Guys on the site I'm referring to have done about the same, then after seeing my emblem I made on the waterjet, tried to get me to make a run of the forum badges.
Survey says: X!
Now a BCF badge... Hmmm.. there's a thought.

I'm in for BCF badges! :yesnod:

Badges...??

Well aware of that fact my friend, well aware indeed.

Hehehehe.... A prototype will be made. (That's openly allowed for me to do at work) As for a production run, If there is interest, which I suspect there would be, I would go through the proper channels with my boss to do it properly. I would pay for the use of the machine, and the material to make the badges out of. then It would then be a matter of getting with Basil, agreeing on a price, and after covering costs figuring out how to funnel any profits into the BCF.
I imagine cost would be very reasonable.

Na, let's charge him double! :jester:

I'd sport one, however; Basil would probably pay me NOT to have one on my car...

HEY, there's an idea.. :jester:

It is a funny bit of human behavior -- we do benefit from the environment (and the adult supervision, thanks Basil!) that the boss put in place here. This really is the only forum I keep with. Funny how the group dynamic plays out in an online space.

As for badges, there were some BCF ones done a while ago. Mine is still sitting on my shelf waiting to be affixed to a car.

And like any family the vibe comes from the top down.
