This must take a lot of practice.

... but does the "practice" result in "mistakes?" o_O

This shot must be from a heavy equipment rodeo. Why wouldn't a flatcar be the weapon of choice for commercial train transport of a 44000 pound beast?

Watching that guy operate that Caterpillar gives me the butterflies.

Brother operated heavy equipment, I'd call it "artful" in many cases. A skilled operator makes it look effortless and seamless. There are folks who have "the touch" and others you don't want to be around! And one of the best mill (overhead) crane drivers I've ever seen was a woman.

Bob.
He is getting into the rail car to unload it. Not sure how he will climb out of the empty car.

Bulk cars like that have doors in the bottom. They unload themselves. I think it's just an exhibition, but amazing nonetheless.

Judging by the frame he used to climb up on the rail car it looks like it is done more than once. May be a reason they can't dump out of the bottom of the car.
I found several more videos of the same procedure not the same guy.
